Day 28

We went to our nephew's Eagle Scout ceremony and they had a real eagle there. The girls were really excited to see it. Maricela wouldn't believe me when I kept telling her it was an eagle - she was adamant that it was a hawk. I guess that's close enough.

Day 27

We finally bought some dressers for the girls! Up until now, we've been using this wire shelving unit from Target and I hate it. Mainly because it's so fun for Mari to pull out all the clothes. Right after I've folded them. I'm hoping this will help deter that. (And they don't match at all cause I got them from the DI, but I'm okay with it.)

Day 25

You get two for today, because I didn't take any on the 26th.

This is Mari, crashed out after church. I hate going from 1-4.

A long time ago, Keith got a coffee table book about knots on clearance at Barnes&Noble. He bought some different sized ropes and loves to sit and practice the knots in that book. This is one that he's perfected and likes to try out with the kids. It's supposed to be one you can use to lower someone down a cliff or something like that. glad to know he'll be prepared, should that situation ever present itself.

Day 24

Even though most of our snow has melted, Amya and Elena went outside today to have a little snow fight. It's supposed to start snowing again on Monday, so they'll have fresh ammunition in just 2 more days. :)

Day 23

These two girls are SO bad about getting out of their bed at night. I took this picture of them after I'd walked them back to bed for probably the fifth time. They come out to the living room saying "Dad, I need to talk to you...." and then tell him something silly and not at all important. They always go to Keith, cause they know I won't put up with it.

Day 22

I got a sub from Quizno's and I love to eat the little pepperoncini's with my subs. Maricela came over and asked to try them. I thought for sure they'd burn her mouth, but she liked them! She sat and licked on them for 5 minutes and thought she was SO funny.

Day 21

We got Amya an old Mario game for her gameboy for Christmas. It's quickly become Keith and the girls' favorite thing to do - they fight over who's turn it is to play. And yes, I mean that Keith fights with the girls over getting to play that game. I am literally married to a little kid! :)

Day 20

I don't know how we missed this, but we didn't realize until today that both of Elena's front bottom teeth are loose. She's really excited about the quarters she'll be getting from the tooth fairy. I don't even think she realized that her teeth are loose because she didn't say anything about them before, but now she's telling everyone she sees about them.

Day 19

Piles and piles of laundry. ugh.

Day 18

The girls love to play school and today they decided to do it up in Amya's bed. Keith helped Mari get up there too, so she wouldn't be left out.

Day 17

While I was at the doctor's office taking my 3 hour glucose test (because I had failed my 1 hour...but don't worry, I passed the 3 hour) Keith decided the girls needed to get some exercise. But it was still really cold out, so he brought all the bikes inside. The kids had fun (and still are because we haven't put the bikes back out yet) but I'm getting pretty annoyed with the sound of bikes on my wood floor ALL DAY LONG.

Day 16

Elena had worked really hard to make her bed and had arranged all the pillows and blankets just so. Then Amya went in and ruined it. Elena had a hissy fit and Amya had to fix it.

Day 15

Yet another haircut by Elena. She'd already cut Ariel's and Belle's hair (both dolls that Maricela JUST got for Christmas) and then she took her scissors to Mari's head. Her bangs are all choppy, she's missing a whole big patch over her right ear....it's bad. And there's no way to even this one up without chopping off ALL her hair. So we're just letting her run around with this horrible hair cut. :(

Day 14

This was a new recipe I tried that was super easy and really good. It's just chicken, stuffing mix, frozen veggies, and cheese. The girls all ate it up - there weren't any leftovers. If you're interested, you can find the recipe here.

Day 13

Today was crazy hair day at Elena's school. I think we accomplished that. :)

Day 12

Maricela LOVES to conduct music - she does it for almost every song during Sacrament meeting. So tonight for FHE we put her in charge of the music and she stood up in the front of the living room and conducted the whole song by herself. It was so cute.

Day 10

Jenny brought Taylor down to visit and we spent the day playing. They all had a lot of fun.

Day 9

Téa's preschool class is a little bit different from the usual - she goes to school once a week and then her teacher comes to our house three times a month for one on one time with her. Téa loves this time that she gets to spend with her teacher, playing games and doing fun art projects.

Day 8

Our neighbor Amy brought her new little baby over to visit and all the girls took turns holding her.

Day 7

Exhibit A: what happens when Elena gets a hold of a blue marker and Maricela's face.

And I wasn't kidding about the Ariel nightgown...here it is again. I'm sure this won't be the last time you see it.

Day 6

It snowed for almost two days straight and Keith spent a lot of those two days outside, shoveling snow. He not only shovels our sidewalk and driveway, but also the road in front of our house. We always have the cleanest driveway and patch of road on the block. :)

Day 5

Getting four sets of teeth brushed every night is not always easy. Luckily with princess toothbrushes and spiderman toothpaste, it's not too bad.

Day 4

Elena and Maricela LOVE to wear their fancy princess nightgowns. Elena bought hers last year with her birthday money from Aunt Sally & Uncle Ben. Maricela's was a Christmas present this year, also from Sally & Ben. I think she's worn it almost every day since Christmas. :)

Day 3

Keith and Téa started work on this monstrous bird house. It literally looks like the Ritz-Carlton for birds.

Day 2

I don't know why the girls feel the need to stick things all over themselves, but they do. Usually it's stickers, but this time they got into the band-aids. And no, Elena's not actually using the bathroom, she's just sitting on an open toilet seat. Nice.

Day 1

Yes, I know this is a horrible picture of us. But this was one of those days where I waited till the last minute to take a picture, and this is what we've got. This is Keith and I getting ready to watch our very first episode of The Office on my new laptop. Such a fun guilty pleasure.
